

Dr. James
Gaume

Dr. Gaume was born in rural Kansas in 1950. He graduated
with a BS in Biology from Loyola University of Los Angeles in 1972 and
received his MD from the University of Southern California in 1976.
Dr. Gaume completed his training in Internal Medicine and
in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Los Angeles County-USC-Medical
Center in 1981. He practiced endocrinology from 1981-1990 in the Los Angeles
area before moving to Nashville to join Endocrinology-Diabetes Associates.
He is presently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine
at Vanderbilt. Dr. Gaume is board certified in Internal Medicine and in
Endocrinology and Metabolism.
